Collaborate to relieve the suffering we
see in our partners; send mission team
leaders to Clean Water U to actively join
the effort.
Alternatively, make a monetary gift
to support Living Waters for the World;
a generous annual gift would give you a
significant part in this mission.
Working together, giving together, we
can bring the Gospel, in word and deed,
to all the world as we are directed by
Christ’s Great Commandment.

Presently 3 million people per year
die from waterborne disease — about six
people per minute! More people are dis-
placed from their homes by the lack of safe
drinking water than are driven away by
war. Only one hundredth of 1 percent of
all the water in the world is safe for human
consumption! These are statistics every
“water-wise” person knows.
Christ’s disciples must respond! We are
inspired by Matthew 25:40: “Truly I tell
you, whatever you did for one of the least
of these brothers and sisters of mine, you
did for me.”
This devastating problem is being suc-
cessfully addressed by Living Waters for
the World. Through volunteer work-
ers, we have constructed over 470 clean
water systems in 24 countries.
We start with a train-the-trainer pro-
gram at Clean Water U and ultimately
assist communities around the world
to build and maintain their own clean
water systems.

I am water…
swirling chaos at earth’s dawn,
boundaries marked
by creation’s spoken birth;
rising fast to lift
Noah’s clan for 40 days,
flooding indifference that
threatened to plunge us back
into chaos, out of community;
thrice parting:
Israel’s escape from Pharaoh’s army,
paving ark-led path
across Jordan,
leading Elisha into
prophetic footsteps of Elijah;
washing away sin,
marking belovedness
at Jordan with John, Jesus,
Water and theWord —
I am water…
floating Jesus’ ministry,
testing Peter’s walk,
calming at Messiah’s command;
reservoirs protected,
power generated,
wells fought over, ports killed for,
flow sufficiently and sustainably
for all God’s children?
